J Nozzle option makes Wiedenmann’s exceptional blowers indispensable
Renowned as class-leading blowers, Wiedenmann’s Whisper Twister, and its much bigger sister machine, the Mega Twister are especially popular with councils, contractors, golf courses and estate managers because of their versatility.
From storm and leaf clearance to presentation duties after cutting or drying out damp areas, they can be employed across the whole year, working solo or in tandem with other equipment.
The Whisper has a very respectable 200 m³ per minute worth of ‘blow’ at 50 m per second and 180° of swivel. The Mega, boasts air output of 390 m³ per minute and 220° of rotation. They take their names from Wiedenmann’s super-quiet patented whisper turbine system allowing operation outside residential areas, school and hospital grounds without adding noise.
Whether rear or front mounted depending on tractor capability, operators comment that their turning circles are first rate, making travel around tree lined or garden areas easy; ultimately the need for fewer tractor movements is kinder to the turf and quicker for the operator.
This year Wiedenmann launched a ‘reverse’ nozzle attachment for trailed versions of both machines, now available to order from Wiedenmann UK dealers.
The new ‘J’ shaped nozzle reverses the airflow and allows the operator to focus on edging work, helping clear paths, verges and tricky areas. By positioning the nozzle at the side of a verge or roadway and pointing below ‘the body’ of the blower, the directional nozzle ensures that the entire width of a path is cleared of leaves or debris in a single pass.
Usefully, it can also target residue debris or leaves underneath the machine. Now the operator no longer needs to make a second trip to tidy up any ‘mini’ trail of debris left behind under the tractor.
This new time-saving option means for this operation, there is less needed to swivel and can be fitted retrospectively and easily to existing Whisper and Mega Twister blowers. The standard straight nozzle can be converted in just a few simple steps.
Wiedenmann UK also offers a ‘goose neck’ option plus enhancements for hydraulic and electric swivel.
